Jill Barber and Kim Wempe Romance Antigonish

**VIDEO OF EVENT FOUND BELOW**
Last night's show was full of romance to say the least. StFX student and budding female singer/songwriter Kim Wempe warmed the crowd up with Donald MacLellan as a sort-of musical foreplay to the big show. Kim played her powerful and moving tunes with plenty of gusto and a lot of fiddle solos with the help of Donald. With her on-stage charm and relateable music it was the perfect thing to get the cozy crowd ready.
Jill Barber played to a a packed cafeteria that looked more like a romantic coffee house than the place we go between classes. She was charismatic, she was funny, she was endearing - Jill was amazing. As she joked about how very few of her songs aren't about love, uttered puns about "making out" and "necking" and even called a friend on the west coast the crowd began to fall in love with Jill. It was the perfect way to spend Valentine's Day. Even if you thought you were alone before the show, Jill Barber is the perfect V-Day date.
